You’ll learn how to create and design characters, work on a story line, do mock ups and finish with an 11×17” comic book page. Learn basic techniques of pencil sketching, how to simulate movement and what supplies you’ll need. If you like comics and like to draw, this class is for you! Art and science come together in this fun and creative art class that will connect them to the environment. Using watercolors, pastels and clay, kids will explore issues of recycling, conserving water, endangered species and ecological footprints. Kids love to dance, and the most popular style these days is hip-hop. The kids really get into this dance class because it’s fun and they can express themselves. Carnival Samba (Ages 10-14)
Everybody, including girls and boys, dance the Samba during Carnival in Brazil—now you can too. Carnival is a celebration of life, dancing, music and fun. “Glow Girl” Poetry & Creative Movement Camp (Ages 5-12)
This performing arts program is an innovative approach to enriching the lives of young girls, fusing poetry presentation with creative movement. Special attention is paid to poise and posture, utilizing the basic techniques of ballet, modern dance, charm school fundamentals and wholesome aspects of character development. Students will develop eloquence, dignity, grace, a team approach, confidence and a healthy sense of self. This is a great group in which to make new friends.
